Eligibility
You can apply to Capital City if:

• You reside in the District of Columbia.
• Your child is eligible to attend grades Pre-K to 9th in September 2008. (Children must turn 4 by September 30, 2008 to enter Pre-K.)
• You agree to volunteer at least 20 hours of time during the year in support of the school.

Application Process
Capital City is open to all students who reside in the District of Columbia. Applications for the 2008-2009 Pre-K class will be accepted from September 15, 2007 to March 17, 2008. Capital City is fully enrolled for the 2007-2008 school year. Spaces will be awarded based on the results of a random lottery. Applications to join the waiting lists for existing classes are accepted at any time.

Capital City will hold a series of informational Open Houses for interested families. The first one is scheduled for Friday, November 2, from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. Other Open Houses are scheduled on December 7th, January 11th, February 1st, and March 7th. To apply, please complete the application form (one for each child).

It is a good idea to call the school to verify that your application has been received and that we have added your child's name to the lottery list. Please give us at least a week to process your on-line application.

Open House
Come and learn more about Capital City.  You may visit classrooms andhave a tour of our school anytime between 9:00 and 11:00 a.m.  Aninformation session led by a school administrator will be held at 9:45a.m.
